Wife's Blog
For those of you in Taiwan (who read Chinese), my wife Connie has a Blog about her adventures in Canada filled with Photos and other interesting stuff you should go and check out. It can be found at: http://www.wretch.cc/blog/connierob, and will do a better job of keeping you up to date on me that this one or my other one will.

My Last Week at Work!
This was a week of goodbyes for me as I prepared to return to Canada. Luckily I have some amazing students who gave me a great sendoff! I'll write more about this later, but until then here's some pictures of the fun!

Pictures from Chinese New Year!
I spent Chinese New Year with Connie's family, which included a whirlwind tour of the city of KaohSiung and the beach at KenDing, thanks to Connie's very kind Uncle. They asked me where I wanted to go before I left Taiwan, I said "Well, I've never been to Kaohsiung", and the next morning we were off!
The pictures at night at the stone tablet were taken at the lighthouse which literally marks the Southern tip of Taiwan! So I have officially now been to both ends of the island! ^_^

Cyberlink Advanced Class Finishes
(from L>R: Irisa, Joseph, Me, Mou, Herry and Arthur. Missing: Elisa, Shelly, Cyndi. Remus, Joseph and Gary)
Last night I finished my advanced class at Cyberlink, the software company I've been teaching at on Tuesday and Thursday nights for the past three months. While the intermediate class on Tuesday nights were fun, this was the more interesting of the two classes because we had some real conversations about many different topics. Last night we discussed everything from Irisa's unluckiness to Gundam (Arthur and Herry turned out to be fans) and it was a good time. I will miss chatting with Joseph and seeing Mao work so hard as well, as a teacher I appreciated it. Of course, that is only half the class above, the rest were too busy to attend the final session, but that's life at Cyberlink. I wish them and their company the best of luck in the future, and hope they keep studying English! Jia yo!

Last night I finished one of my two classes at Cyberlink, a Taiwanese Software Company famous for it's products like Power DVD. This class was one of the few all-male classes I have taught in my time here, and it was a lot of fun to teach them and spend time helping them to practice English and joke around. I wish them all the best in the future, and hope they will have both happy lives and good careers where they don't need to work so much. (From Left to Right, they are: Jack, Gary, Wayne, Me, Hong-Yi, Neal, Keven, Rain, Jino and Robin.)

My last day at San-Chong Senior Vocational High School
Since early December, I have been lucky enough to go each Saturday morning and teach a special class of 20 or so Senior High School students at a local Vocational high school. This class, focussing on "International Trade", wanted to give their English skills a boost, so they hired me to go in and give them a little extra practice. Today was the last day, and we had a good, if somewhat sad time with cake and pictures, and they gave me a ring of lovely thank-you cards I might put up to show later. This class really reminded me of how much fun teaching High School students can be, and I will miss them.
Best of luck in the future, ladies and gentlemen, and keep studying English! It will pay off someday!
