Playing Around
Monica and Paul stop to enjoy some of the playground equipment. What a bunch of kids!
Don't feed the...oh nevermind...
Ryan pauses to feed the sheep before the trainer came to chase them off. Rogue sheep are a problem in the park, first they start begging for food and then they start begging for money, it's a bad cycle the trainers work to keep them from.
Heavy Metal
Coming around the top of the hill, we came across this child-eating metal worm nestled in among playground equipment. (An obvious trap.) We wisely decided to avoid going into the worm's territory (lest we get stuck inside it) and headed for the more adult-friendly wooden climbing equipment off to the left of this picture.
Anything you can do...
After watching the guys go over a climbing net, Narissa decides to see what all the fuss is about...
Help me!
Narissa can't get up the courage to go backwards or forwards on top of the climbing net. She was eventually rescued by some gallant gentlemen who climbed up and helped her get over her hurdle and go down the other side.

Rob takes time out from taking pictures to pose with the cutest girl he could find. Luckily for him, it was his own girlfriend! (Or he'd have been in real trouble!)
The waiting begins...
After finishing our tour of the park grounds, we settled in to wait for the sheep shearing show! It was only 2, and we couldn't check into our hotel for another hour, so we joined the growing crowd of people on the hillside killing time until the show.

When the going gets tough, the tough get reading! Connie takes advantage of our waiting time for the sheep show to catch up on her reading.
Narissa
Another split-screen shot, this one is me bugging poor Narissa who tried to sneak off and take a nap during the long wait for the show to start. Ever the trooper, she still managed to pull off a smile for the camera! You go girl!

A storm rolls in...
While we were waiting a storm started to roll in, giving us a light shower, luckily it didn't get too heavy since the storm was just visiting, not coming to stay.

Sheep go up!
With the start of the sheep show, the audience was asked to clear the hillside and the herd of sheep were driven up the hill by herding dogs as a show of their precision sheep-herding skills. Pretty impressive, actually.
I can handle it!
A fearless sheep shows she is more than ready to face the clippers as the Australian sheep sheerer gets ready to show off his craft. (Actually, he was demonstrating how stupid and stunned the sheep was and how he could position her any way he wanted.)

Count 'em!

What can I say, I love taking pictures of cute girls? I have no idea who this is, but she's quite photogenic, don't you think? And quite fascinated by what's happening to that poor sheep.

A experiment in using my camera's digital zoom function, which didn't impress me very much. Still, it caught the look of fear in that poor sheep's eyes. Well, either fear or boredom...you be the judge!

Our real Australian sheep sheerer wishes the crowd a fond farewell in his best Australian Chinese. The other sheep behind him breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that they have been spared for yet another day!
