I found this little (actually, not so little, about 15 or so cm long!) caterpillar crossing the road with the leaflike home on it's back. I'm not sure if it's a fake leaf it made or if it was a real lead it turned into a mobile home. Kinda freaky, actually.

you saw soo many things climbing the mountain..critters that you don't see in canada...i thought things like that wouldn't be abundant because taiwan is so polluted. good to see small creatures are still fighting to stay a live !
